DC Next Bus App Reviews

I just had to stop using this app today. It served me well for a while but now just cant seem to display the right times or sometimes a time will be displayed then disappear. Will definitely use this again if they can fix it but until that time ill be using another app.

Much like the magic 8ball it can be right on the money or *shake shake* try another app. I think if you use this to compare when busses actually arrive youll see that sometimes this app gets it right. Other times youll see busses come up that arent scheduled to be there!!! Route 29! Holla if u hear me

No information on any bus or route. At all.

It used to be the best app on the market for wmata; now its worthless. If youre using this during rush hour, prepare to either miss a bus or wait for a half an hour. Pathetic.

This app used to be great, but for the last month it hasnt been accurate at all. Hopefully theres a helpful update soon

This used to be a great app. Was spot on with WMATA buses and about 90% accurate with Ride On buses... Now the WMATA buses are rarely accurate and the Ride On buses dont even show up. Very disappointed hope they fix it before I decide to delete it. Wish I could give it half a star.

New version no longer has bus schedules. It just says "no nearby busses" for all buses. Please fix!

It used to work pretty well I f you knew where youre going & know the bus system. BUT the new upgrade is awful!!! Every stop indicates no bus nearby" even as Im getting on the bus! Unbelievable! DO NOT DO THE UPGRADE.

WMATA responds sporadically, so some stops arent updated.

If you are regular transit user, you probably know schedules by rote. But if you miss your rude or are irregular user, this app is very handy.

The map is very easy to use and find nearby stops. Loads new info when you refresh quickly. Lets you save favorite stops and easily see bus routes.

This app is awesome. No menus or start up screens - just the info I need displayed as quickly as possible. This is vital for people like myself who are rushing to catch the bus on a daily basis. The map layout is fast & easy. It allows you to mark specific routes if needed and works for metro routes as well. What more could you ask?

Sure, it SHOWS the location of bus stops. Thats great and all, but what if Im trying to get from one place to another? Im just trying to figure out which buses to take and where to transfer. It takes forever trying to scroll throughout the map finding the locations. I dont understand why this app cant offer simple directions for getting from Point A to Point B.

Dont buy, this application, most if the bus stops I tried to check for next bus dont work. I tried to get my money back and there is no way to get it back. I dont know how apple after Jobs allows these junk apps to be placed in the AppStore.

This is now basically a digital bus schedule. It tells you when then buses are supposed to be there with no connection to reality. Lame.

Very dependable, I use it every day for work.

Great little app that gives you nearby bus information really quickly. Great for my commute.

This app is useful but every time I open it up it tells me I need to update the stops. This takes almost a minute each time. Not practical and very annoying for someone who is in a hurry.

For some reason it doesnt seem to work for many (definitely running) bus lines at night. My other apps detect a bus arriving but not this one, I often get "no bus detected" for certain bus lines. Next thing you know, a bus shows up. Add to this annoyance, the fact it asks you to "download new stops database" every time you open the app, and it takes a minute or more, and then often fails that operation.

Requires constant updates. Some stops never show up. Accurate as far as buses but a pain to maintain.
